Simon Gough
Design Thinker & Facilitator
Simon Gough is a seasoned design practitioner with a passion for helping teams imagine, design, and deliver better customer experiences for companies, organisations, and the world they serve. With nearly two decades of experience in participatory design, facilitation, and learning design, Simon brings a uniquely collaborative approach to every challenge. Whether guiding small, focused teams or energising groups of 100+ people, he creates spaces where creativity, clarity, and co-creation thrive. From unconferences and open space events to high-intensity design sprints and hackathons, his facilitation adapts to the moment and the mission. Simon’s work draws from a rich blend of design thinking, service design, systems thinking, lean startup, data science, storytelling, and machine learning. His ability to integrate diverse tools and perspectives allows him to support innovation that is both human-centred and system-aware. With a particular interest in sustainable futures and economics, Simon insists that at the core of his practice is a belief in design as a shared endeavour, one that thrives when people are empowered, ideas are made tangible, and experimentation is part of the culture.
